Shape Management

The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported in 2009 that 62% of the Australian adult population were overweight or obese, and obesity in children is increasing at an alarming rate. If current trends continue, it is projected that by 2020, 80% of Australian adults and a third of children will be overweight or obese.

These levels of obesity have a significant health and economic impact for individuals and employers.

CHG’s LEAN (Lifestyle Exercise and Nutrition) Machine program has been developed by a team of exercise physiologists, dieticians and doctors with a focus on both shape change and optimal health outcomes.

LEAN Machine is not a short-term diet, the program allows for long-term success through strict, yet easy to follow lifestyle habits. The program involves regular face-to face and telephone health counselling sessions over a 12 week period.

In recent years this program has assisted over 2,000 South Australians reduce their waist measurement by an average of nearly 4cms and up to 35 kilograms of body weight.

LEAN Machine has been a particularly successful program for rural and remote locations, particularly for workplaces in the mining and resources sector. CHG can create tailored programs to meet the specific health and wellbeing requirements in these challenging work environments.

“I found the program valuable and very helpful to me. It actually helped with diet ideas and implementing them. Very informative and motivational.” Quarry worker, August 2009.
