An EAP provides professional and confidential support services to your employees. The ease of access to an EAP may encourage your employees to seek support early, helping them to overcome any issues before they worsen. This can minimise impacts on an individual’s health, work performance and productivity.

Once an EAP is operational, we can provide you with statistical reports on the activities and trends of your workplace, generally delivered on an annual or 6 monthly basis. Confidentiality of counselling services provided through the program is absolutely paramount to CHG, therefore all information is de-identified. The design and delivery of your EAP will be tailored to meet the specific requirements of your workplace. Two supplementary programs, Manager Assist and Colleague Assist, are also available.

CHG’s Psychologists and Social Workers can assist employees with a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Stress and anger management
  • Anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Drug, alcohol or gambling dependence or addiction
  • Problems coping with illness or physical injury
  • Phobias
  • Work/life balance difficulties
  • Sleep problems

Our team are highly experienced in vaccinating in a variety of settings, ranging from 5 to 500 individuals per location. Employee health assessments help you invest in your most important asset: your people. CHG offers a range of assessments to help you evaluate the current health status of your team and create a personalised workplace health portfolio. All tests and counselling offered through CHG’s employee health assessments are conducted onsite by health practitioners, using the most up-do-date equipment and procedures.

Popular employee health assessments include:

  • Heart risk profile (20 minutes)
  • Heart, nutrition and stress profile (30 minutes)
  • Heart, nutrition, stress and fitness profile (40 minutes)
  • Comprehensive health assessment (60 minutes)

We can then work with you to use your organisation’s health profile to develop targeted workplace health promotion programs. These programs can educate and motivate employees to initiate healthy behavioural changes or refer high-risk individuals to appropriate health professionals.

This can offer many benefits to your workplace, including:

  • Raising awareness of relevant health issues and providing referrals where appropriate
  • Increasing workplace productivity
  • Reducing absenteeism
  • Improving injury incidence and outcomes
  • Improving health status of employees
  • Becoming an employer of choice

The risk of skin cancer is increased for people who spend long periods of time in the sun, but it can affect anyone. This is why regular skin cancer screenings are so important, as well as being a critical component of early detection. CHG offer skin screening services for individuals at all three of our clinics in Elizabeth Vale, Gillman and Mile End or can be conducted onsite at your workplace.

Screenings for your employees

It is important for outdoor workers to maintain effective sun protection measures, but employers can also provide their workers with regular skin cancer screenings. CHG can conduct skin cancer screenings by a registered medical practitioner onsite at your premises. This convenient onsite service reduces costs, minimises productivity loss and allows a referral to be given on the spot to individuals with any suspicious growths. The Health Promotion Team will follow up high-risk referrals with phone contact to the individual, ensuring they have consulted their GP/specialist. Individuals can be supplied with copies of their records at any time and a de-identified company report is provided to the employer.

CHG can treat and re-energise your employees with a 10 minute relaxation massage, delivered by a qualified remedial massage therapist. This treatment concentrates on the head, neck and upper back while the recipient relaxes in a chair, meaning no special equipment or change of clothing is required. Individuals will have the option to lay down if they prefer. Our workplace massage programs can be conducted at your site during the course of a minimum  3 hour block.

CHG can help your team get fit without the loss of travel time, by offering a wide range of exercise programs onsite. While many companies provide an onsite gym or exercise space, managing the facilities and running consistent programs can be overwhelming. We currently provide over 400 onsite group and personal training sessions for corporate clients every year. We are happy to tailor our services to your specific goals and facilities.

CHG can provide a wide range of services to help, including:

  • Onsite gym management
  • Gym personnel
  • Exercise classes including yoga, Pilates, meditation, circuits, boot camps, strength training and running groups
  • Personal and group training

CHG can provide one-on-one coaching to help your team meet their health goals and promote a healthier, happier workplace. Our health coaching services are effective stand-alone programs, but also have exceptional success when integrated with other workplace health initiatives. Health coaching motivates and empowers participants to make long-term lifestyle changes and are a great way to engage staff in a goal-oriented, outcome-focussed program. Sessions can be conducted in person, via Skype, or over the phone.

CHG’s introductory yoga and meditation sessions are intended to stretch the body and calm the mind from daily work stress. This 60 minute group exercise session includes progressive stretching, balance and strength, and is suitable for all fitness levels.
